‘[...] images from small-scale installations created by the artist, depicting various ant carcasses, seemingly after committing suicide. The scale used in the enlargements lets us connect with their remains [...] Mohíno moves within the reality-fiction dichotomy of cartoons, where more than one generation grew up identifying with animal characters, endowed with human traits and repeatedly enduring countless atrocities; animals that have now become metaphors [...] for our own struggle for survival in the absurd.’
